Job Specification

Dril-Quip (Europe) Ltd. are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join the Materials team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the control and administration of logistics and inventory activities in line with applicable regulations and Company operating standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate local and UK transport including sub-con
  • Coordinate all imports, exports, road, sea and air freight
  • Obtaining weights and dims for shipments
  • Assist pipe yard operations with day to day system processing in Epicor
  • Expedite and maintain the UKCS log, end use signed transfer log, end use authorisation log and update the commodity code list.  Cross reference of HMRC MSS reports with export log.  Assist with the upkeep of the rotation register for imports and exports
  • Locating proof of imports, exports for all rental tools returning UKCS.  Expedite and maintain log for end use transfers within Europe, assist with rotation spreadsheet in preparation for bill of discharge
  • Create and distribute pack slips, cargo summary tickets and commercial invoices.  Reconcile and scan pack slips, sling certs, invoices and track container hire and off hire
  • Analyse and report on inventory levels to include production output and excess unpegged stock.  Analyse root cause of inventory issues and provide resolutions.  Develop initiatives to reduce slow moving inventory and to improve inventory turns
  • Assist with cycle counting inventory

Qualifications and Skills

 Minimum requirements:

  • Freight forwarding experience
  • Knowledge of HM customs and excise requirements
  • Experience within a shipping, logistics and freight forwarding role
  • Transport planning and regulation

Preferred requirements:

  • Certificate in Logistics & Transport (CILT) Level 2 or above
